Strain Approvals

All character Strains are playable at DR SoCal, but some strains require an Action Request to be created. This is due to a visual element (costuming and/or makeup), or character background restrictions that require some planning to fit into our local setting. There are no limits on how many characters of a given Strain can be registered. All that is needed is that you work with the story and design team before bringing your character into play.

If you plan to create a new character that is one of these strains you must submit an Action Request. Characters already in play do not require approval, unless changing Strain. If the restriction is based on makeup or costuming you will need to submit some description and/or images of what you have in mind. You do not need to create your entire character kit before the character is even approved – you can submit your pinterests, vision boards, works-in-progress etc. of where your inspiration comes from. If the restriction is based on character background you will need to submit a written background for approval, which the story team will happily help you with.
